Man fails in €60,000 personal injury claim against bouncers

A software developer Mr Raymond Brennan has failed in his personal injury claim for being evicted from the Silver Granite pub in Palmerstown. He claimed that he was thrown to the ground by two bouncers at the pub and suffered a laceration to the right side of his temple. What turned the case against the plaintiff was the fact that an independent onlooker impressed the trial judge whose evidence contrasted that of the plaintiff. What the case shows is the increasing trend of the courts to test evidence of those bringing cases. Only personal injury claims with strong evidence of no fault injury will lead to compensation awards.
